1. Introduction
BillQ (“BillQ”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides billing, point-of-sale (POS), inventory and business-management software for businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the BillQ website, web application, Android application and related services.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, BillQ may process:
- Account information such as name, email address and phone number.
- Business information such as shop name, category, branches and business settings.
- Information entered by a business, including products, inventory, customers, employees, invoices, sales, purchases, expenses, orders and reports.
- Payment status and transaction references required to support enabled payment features.
- Technical and security information such as login attempts, error logs, audit events and basic request/device information where technically required.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate BillQ, authenticate users, process billing and business records, provide enabled features, maintain security, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, provide support and communicate important account or service information.
4. Business Customer Data
Businesses using BillQ may enter information about their own customers, employees and other individuals. The business using BillQ is responsible for ensuring that it has the appropriate authority or legal basis to collect and use information it enters into the platform. BillQ processes that information to provide the requested service.
5. Payment and Third-Party Services
BillQ may integrate with payment providers, hosting/infrastructure providers, analytics or measurement services, communication services and other third-party integrations enabled by a business. Where a third party processes information directly, its own terms and privacy policy also apply.
BillQ does not intentionally store complete payment-card credentials such as full card numbers or CVV information unless a specific enabled service requires it and separately discloses that processing.
6. Access and Security
Access to business information is controlled through account, shop, branch and user permissions. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as password protection, role-based access controls, HTTPS, server-side authorization checks and security logging. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide BillQ and for applicable business, security, accounting, legal or compliance purposes. Retention periods vary by data type and applicable requirements.
8. Account Deletion
BillQ provides a permanent account-deletion option both inside the application and through the public BillQ Account Deletion page.
When an account deletion request is completed, BillQ deletes the account and associated account data from its active application database. Uploaded account-owned files are also removed where they are part of the account data.
9. Cookies and Sessions
BillQ uses cookies, sessions and similar technologies that are necessary to keep users signed in, maintain secure sessions, remember required preferences and protect accounts. Optional analytics or similar technologies, when enabled, are handled according to the applicable disclosures and settings.
10. Children's Privacy
BillQ is a business-management and billing service and is not directed toward children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
